I have been asked to write an article on Asus Core I7 laptops. Here is my review on Asus Core I7 laptops. We were unable to run the PCMark 2005, after several attempts and software updates, and we could not establish any score. We were able to run without problems the latest version, PCMark Vantage, reaching a total of 3437 points. In this range are comparable Acer Aspire 5739G and Apple MacBook Air.
The UL50Vt scored 2090 points in the rendering of the single core CPU Cinebench R10 tests. 4044 points in the rendering of multi-core and a respectable 2623 points in the Open GL Shading.
The Intel T7250 (2.0 GHz) Sony BZ26M reached 2039 points in the rendering and the CPU Core Solo T6400 (2.0 GHz) of Acer 6935G scored 2017 points. The UL50 was placed equally well in testing multi-core processors. With the P7350 CPU (2 GHz), the Acer 5739G reached a score comparable with 4063 points.
Today, Ubisoft with Year 1404 offers perhaps the finest game of strategy and construction intriguing players of all ages. The enthusiasm goes out quickly at a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, maximum detail and 4 x AF (anisotropic filters) because they only reach 18 fps. We could see 22 fps with the native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a medium level of detail, with 2 x AF. Looking closely you notice that quite often hesitates. Year 1404 runs fairly smoothly at 24 fps without AF settings the same and can be played without much interruption.
We chose a racing simulator complex as Racedriver GRID, which involves many system resources. Reaching a maximum of 18 fps at 1280 x 768 pixels, maximum detail and 4 x AF guess you can forget to play. As in the year have reached 22 fps with average retail only, 2 x AF and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The game did not hesitate as much, but it was not even Fludir. If AF is disabled, you can reach 24 fps full. But even here there is really fun.
It should be obvious that the UL50Vt is not a gaming machine. If you adapt a few details and without AF, with a little 'compromises can run current games.

Our prototype is part of a normal and acceptable noise range. However during normal operation the fan noise is low but steady, without ever becoming annoying. The noise level increases significantly when you see a DVD. Playing a DVD was reached a maximum level of 36.4 dB (A).
The noise level ranges between 37.2 - 44.4 dB (A) under load. The fan spread 37.2dB (A) during normal use. The notebook is audible but always remains within acceptable limits. The output noise rises rapidly to levels unpleasant laden.

Most 15-inch notebooks have a glossy screen. Fortunately in this case is different: instead Asus offers a matte screen for UL50Vt-XO037V. When you build off some reflection, but disappear when the notebook is turned on. The display complies with the HD Ready with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This is especially important for multimedia notebooks because they have thinner black bars on the edges (movie rendering) due to the high resolution and screen size.
The screen light is set to 80% good. Average maximum illumination is sufficient: 147 cd / m². These values should be good to work outdoors or in adverse lighting situations. We found that the maximum brightness of the screen can be enabled even when it uses battery power.

The viewing angle to the horizontal plane is stable and the colors and content are distinct even at wide angles. Only the tone color changes slightly. And it is different from the vertical plane. The vision of the images is not optimal and the contents are not readable already small changes the angle of perfect vision.

I have been asked to review an Asus laptop. Here is my review on an Asus laptop computer model. The bottom of the case is matte black with only one panel for maintenance. From this door you can access the hard drive from Seagate 320 GB and 4 GB of RAM by Hynix. Asus says that the maximum size is 4 GB of RAM. All common drives for notebook 9.5 mm with a SATA II interface can be used. Trying to install hard drives from 12.5 mm may cause problems.
The ULV50Vt-SO037V to be a multimedia notebook has a good framework for the connections. On the left are two USB 2.0 ports, audio jacks (headphone jack, microphone output), a card reader 5-in-1 (SD, MMC, MS, MS-Pro, xD), DC-in and an HDMI port to connect an external monitor or TV. A big advantage is that the transmission of audio and video data with one cable.
On the opposite side, the right is another USB 2.0 connection, an analog (VGA) connection to RJ-45, a Kensington lock and a DVD Super Multi drive (GU10N) by LG. It can be used even without the external monitor connected through HDMI VGA interface. Asus shows off more interfaces to peripherals such as eSATA or FireWire. More such connections would be appreciated. Is not integrated an ExpressCard slot.
Asus has not entered any connection port in front because of its fine structure. There will only two Altec Lansing speakers. Even the latter is free of connections. The great lithium-ion battery with eight cells has a capacity of 84 Wh. This battery occupies the back of the case for most.
Asus has done a good job with the distribution of the doors. Except that both doors on the left were made a bit 'too close. So there might be problems in connecting connectors bulky / penne / modem. It would have been better to have more space available between the two doors. In general, there is a wide variety of possible connections and a good distribution of them.
Asus built an integrated numeric pad sufficient given the size of houses by 15 ". The keyboard has a stroke average and a short-ergonomic. We evaluated negatively consumption with the screen saver integrated and maximum brightness. The laptop needs 23.4 watts in this case. Stress is consumed by 35.8 to 48.9 watts. These values are within normal levels for a 14.0-inch laptop with dedicated graphics. The Asus UL80Vt-WX028V left us for the most part with a good impression. The black case is very elegant and very well built. However, the flexible body of the screen and the unstable area of the keyboard are a weak point. The variety of connections is, as you would expect from a multimedia notebook, fairly complete.
The 14.0-inch screen has a good image and meets the requirements of HD Ready with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. Unfortunately, the blacks seem more gray that of blacks with a black value of 1.11. The performances are good, thanks to the Nvidia GeForce G 210M and the CPU overclocking. You can get extremely long autonomy thanks to hybrid graphics solution chosen by Asus. The UL80Vt-WX028V has topped the list of laptops that we reviewed with a range of more than 13 hours.
