I have been asked to review a new Asus netbook. Here is my review on a new Asus netbook. Despite the form, 15-inch notebook has a separate numeric keypad. The producer wanted to keep the keys to their original size without being issues of space. Consequently, there is no need time to adapt, to use the keyboard. The "feel" suffers a bit 'that one gets the feeling sticky.

The keyboard slightly noisy Asus M50V, M50S similar to the model, varies a bit. During normal use, the keyboard is decent but noise becomes annoying during an intense typing. The touchpad is centrally located under the keyboard, but a little 'off center to homes.

Note that the pad is recessed into the case may be annoyed when your fingers are touching the edges. The surface of the pad has been pleasant with good flow properties. Scroll over the area, the touchpad also has dual functions. With a touch on the "Mode", the individual indicators of the pad will light up. Under these conditions it is possible to control the multimedia functions and manage the sound volume with the touchpad.

As often happens with multimedia laptops, the Asus M50V, as the M50S and M70S, offers some hot keys, for example, to select the performance profile and the rapid deactivation of the touchpad.

The handset has a decent multimedia display bright 15.4-inch WSXGA + LC 16:10 and a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. The M50V offers a vision considerably higher than other WXGA displays, making it easier to work with many windows open at once.

Thanks to the reflective display, the colors are vibrant and saturated. This is particularly reflected in the game. We also had clear and defined images during tests. No streak was highlighted, with fast games like Crysis or World in Conflict.

For M50V we rilecato brightness of the display of a minimum of 155.5 cd/m2 upper left corner up to a maximum of 214.8 cd/m2 in the middle of the screen. The screen is not suited for outdoor use, especially the glossy surface. You should also consider that even in domestic, under adverse lighting conditions can occur reflexes.

As with the M50S and M70S, M50V place it in the Asus multimedia high-performance notebooks. CPU Core 2 Duo T9400 2.5 GHz to Intel, a GeForce 9650M GT with 1024 MB of VRAM, four gigabytes of DDR2 RAM and a 320 Hitachi hard drives, are responsible for the performance.

Office applications, listening to music and DVD playback are routine for M50V. Even web browsing is not a problem for this powerful laptop. To test the performance and make comparisons with other laptops, we have launched programs such as PCMark05, Cinebench R10 and also the new PCMark Vantage sull'Asus M50V. In PCMark05 we obtained a good result of 6410 points and the PCMark Vantage present an overall assessment of 3623 points.

The Cinebench R10 was, as always, run in single and multi-rendering for the performance testing Shading. The M50V scored 2816 points in the evaluation of single-rendering, and 5231 points in the multi-rendering. Cinebench all'M50V awarded 4118 points for the shader.
