ASUS is launching the multimedia Eee PC 1201N model.
Attracted by the high portability, but unsatisfied by the processing power from the past, the public interested in running multimedia applications on netbooks in excellent conditions, has now a good reason to be happy. ASUS has launched Eee PC1201N, a multimedia netbook which integrated an Intel Dual Core Atom 330 processor and a NVIDIA ION graphics card. Eee PC 1201N is an elegant model from the Seashell series, which has an ergonomic keyboard with standard sizes for a comfortable typing. The new product integrated a 250 GB hard drive, offering also an online storage capacity up to 500 GB.
Launching the Eee PC 1201N represents the spacing between this netbook and the netbooks which used an Atom processor with a single processing core. The new model is establishing new performance landmarks for the netbooks category, by integrating an Intel Atom 330 processor with two cores, the graphic solution NVIDIA ION and the two DIMM of dual channel DDR memory. More important is the fact that this configuration exceeds the current conventions of the netbooks, offering a special multimedia experience.
Eee PC 1201N is using the NVIDIA ION graphic processor, distinguished with multiple prizes for specialty and which offers a superior multimedia experience thanks to the support for High Definition video rendering and for PC games. The NVIDIA CUDA technology improves the ability of the Eee PC 1201N to work with visual materials and to accelerate the applications with intensive processing requirements, like video editing and conversion.
Also, Eee PC 1201N is offering the preinstalled ArcSoft SimHD application, which converts video materials with standard resolution to the High Definition level. SimHD, a plug-in for the ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater software, significantly improves the image quality and supports a wide range of file formats. The users will be able to enjoy the fluid rendering of High Definition video content on a high resolution screen having a 12.1 inch diagonal. Also, the users have the option of video rendering at 1080p High Definition standard and 7.1 sound on HDTV receivers, using the integrated HDMI interface.
